Please read the emails below from Zev , Y.I. & Yashar Lachyal. (It's long but I just did not know what to leave out.)

A check can be sent through the National Council Young Israel or directly to yasharlachayal.org

Please enclose a note that the donation is for Zev Nirenberg's Unit.

 Kol Tuv,
Linda & Aaron Kinsberg

Thousands of soldiers are stationed in and around Gaza and at bases and checkpoints  throughout the country.  We are having a very cold winter.  The army issues basic winter gear but it simply is not enough - the boys are outside, rain or shine, and it is very cold. The IDF's policy is as follows, an entire unit must be sponsored. It is impossible for just a few soldiers to recieve fleeces, rathere the entire unit must receive fleeces at once.

Zev

Three years ago we met a young man at the hesder yeshiva and he became part of our family.  After going back to the US for a year, he returned to Israel and is now in the army.  His sister's classmates in New York has raised $1600 for extra coats for this young man's unit, but it is not enough.  There are over 150 young men stationed with him, and the policy is to purchase for the entire unit, not just some of the boys.  We are working to raise additional money (at least another $1500) and purchase the jackets within the next few days, and we need your help, to help the soldiers.

Donations can be made payable to Yashar HaYachal, an organization based in our community that assists with projects like this.  Please send US checks to:

Yashar HaChayal

Yashar HaChayal has applied for 501C3 status but the process is not yet complete.  Your donations may or may not be tax deductible in the US at this time.

If you are in Israel and would like to help, please be in touch!

Please let me know if you will be sending a check and the amount, since it enable us to move more quickly if we know how much money is on the way.

Thanks, and Shabbat Shalom.
